Compeition Notes

The Club Championship

There will be two competitions over the weekend of the 19th and 20th July, playing off Full Course Handicap. The player with the lowest gross score over the 36 holes, as shown on the final printout, will be the Club Champion.

To be eligible for Club Champion a player must be a Home Club Member and not in his first year.

36 Hole Competitions

Where Competitions are held over two days i.e. 36 hole competitions, then a players handicap for the first 18 holes will be the same for the second 18 holes for that competition, despite the fact that his overall playing handicap may have been adjusted as a result of the first 18 hole of that competition.

E.L.G.A. Presidents Qualifier date Sunday 18th May 2025

The four members with the best scores from the qualifier on the 18th May will be invited to represent the club in this competition on Tuesday 14th September at Duxbury Golf Club.

Only those members nominating Duxbury Park as their home club will be invited.

E.L.G.A. Scratch Shield and President’s Trophy qualifier date Sunday 13th April 2025

The four members with the best scores from the qualifier on the 14th April will be invited to represent the club in this competition on Tuesday 8th June at Blackburn Golf Club. Only those members nominating Duxbury Park as their home club will be invited.

RULES:

  1. The initial entry will be limited to 32/16 competitors.

  2. The competition format will be match-play.

  3. Full course handicap & full difference between the two.

  4. The entrance fee (£5) with be deducted from your account when booking your entry on HOWDIDIDO be fore Wednesday 30th April. The draw will be made on 1st May 2025.

As a matter of courtesy to other competitors please ensure that a contact phone number is placed on the draw-sheet, if anyone is unable to contact his opponent he must inform the competition secretary in writing.
